Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Welcome to your first installment of “Dear Disney Dads”. Here I will be answering questions submitted by Dads who are in need of a little advice concerning Disney and little ones!

Your very first question comes from Dan in Baltimore, MD. (imacdan on Twitter) Dan writes:

“We want to take DD4 to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Is there a preferred time to go? Beginning of trip, middle or end?”

Dear Disney Dad,

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (BBB) is something that I have not yet had the pleasure of experiencing, and up until not too long ago, I thought that I would never have the chance to experience it at all! Reason being, I have 2 boys who are huge pirate fans, so we are old pros at the Pirates League, which is the brother to the BBB. Now I love my boys, and I love pirates just as much as the next Disney fan, but being a girl, I always longed for a look at what the BBB had to offer! Thankfully, my little princess was born in January of this year, and I am anxiously awaiting her 3rd birthday, so that she can join in on the fun and be transformed into her favorite princess. I can’t wait to see which one she takes a fancy to!

To answer your question, since I have not yet done the BBB, I will let you in on what we have done when it comes to the Pirates League (PL) for my boys. We actually like to do it on our very first full day in Walt Disney World. We always spend our first day in the Magic Kingdom (MK), where the PL is located just to the right of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Adventureland. If you are like us, and like to visit MK on your first day, then you are in luck, because there is a BBB located inside Cinderella Castle (CC)! There is also one at the World of Disney Store at Downtown Disney. Now when I take my little princess to the BBB for the first time, you can bet that I will take her to the one in CC. To me, that will just really add to the magic of the whole thing!

If you choose to have your daughter visit the BBB on her very first day, then not only will she be starting off her Disney vacation with a bang, but if you choose to purchase a dress and accessories for her, then she will have them for the whole trip, and trust me, she will probably ask to wear them every day! Not only will your little one have the option of choosing the outfit that her favorite princess would don, but she will also get her hair, makeup and nails done, by her very own Fairy Godmother in training, employed by Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother herself! She can choose to look like a Fairytale Princess, Disney Diva, or Pop Princess.

The BBB fits a range of budgets! The Coach Package includes hair and makeup, and is 49.95. The next step up is the Crown Package which includes the aforementioned as well as nails and is 54.95. If you want to go for the gusto and really pamper your little princess, then choose the Castle Package which includes hair, makeup, nails, photo, dress, and accessories. This starts at & $185.95.

Brothers that may be tagging along are not to be left out! There is a Knight Package available which includes a hair styling, sword, and shield for $14.95.

Dan, I hope that your little girl has so much fun being immersed in the magic of Disney by being transformed into her favorite Disney princess. This is a memory that is sure to last a life time!

Now go get wrapped up in some Pixie Dust!

Molly xoxo
