Star Wars Weekends is Upon US!

Hanging with Chewbacca and Ewoks

Star Wars Weekends is an awesome annual event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. Back in 2004 I stumbled upon this event with my friends when going to Walt Disney World. We were walking through the paths that lead us over to Star Tours when we saw some of our favorite Star War characters. We got excited and started to wait in a few lines to take pictures with them. My favorite picture was taken with Chewbacca and my little ewok friends. We had a blast walking through and of course going on Star Tours was even more exciting during Star Wars Weekend.

Also walking though there were lines to meet by Star Wars celebrities. We saw the lines, but most were long or closed at the time we walked through. If you would want to see celebrities, get to know the times when they will be around and plan to get there quickly. A Disney’s FASTPASS ensures your place in line at the celebrity autograph. We wished we would have known more about this event before we had hit the park that day. They also have some fun Star Wars merchandise including, ceramic mugs, towels, picture frames, t-shirts, pins, buttons, shopping bags, watches, figures, and an iPhone 4/4S case, and more.

This great event will be going on from May 18, 2012 through June 10, 2012. If you are a huge Star Wars Fan, love the movies or just have a favorite character, Star Wars weekend is a blast. The events take place indoors, outdoors and last all day.

  1. I’m excited to be attending Star Wars Weekend for the first time this year! I just wish Disney would release more information about the schedule of events. It’s only two weeks away and those of us who like to plan have no info to plan with!
