Ice Skating in California?

Tinkerbell Periwinkle
Ice skating in Downtown Disney

At Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California, located between Espn Zone and the Downtown Disney AMC Theater, is an outdoor ice rink dedicated to Secret of The Wings, Tinkerbell’s new DVD-only movie, available on Disney-DVD, BluRay and BluRay-3D. In the dedication, we get invited to Tinkerbell and her sister Periwinkle’s world as part of the celebration.

Disneyland’s Ambassador René Torrico welcomes everyone as he hosts the event, sharing a brief story about the film, its release, and introduces Vice President of Resorts and Downtown Disney Daniel Delcourt and Downtown Disney General Manager Janet Knox.

Filmmakers from Disneytoon Studios Peggy Holmes and Michael Wigert were there as part of the opening as they spoke a bit more about the film. They talk about the journey Tinkerbell makes when finding her sister Periwinkle and the new song “The Great Divide” which is performed by the Mclane Sisters.

With a bit of pixie dust Tinkerbell and Periwinkle officially open the ice rink for all to enjoy! Music fills the air as the skaters get to enjoy the magic of the film.

The Ice Rink is scheduled to be open until January 5th.

Pricing for all skaters is $15.00 plus a $3.00 skate rental fee for 1 hour of skate time.
